Greens candidate for Prospect

Because
the people
matter

I'm Sujan Selven, your Greens councillor and candidate for Prospect at the 13 March 2027 NSW election. I'm on your side. I have lived in Western Sydney since I arrived in Australia, and I'm fighting for rents you can afford, cheaper power bills, free public transport and care you can reach.

Every issue is about the people it affects.

Prospect is home to renters and homeowners, families and small business owners, workers and students from every part of the world. You keep Western Sydney moving. You deserve a representative who calls it home, listens first and gets results.

Priorities

What matters here

Four priorities for Prospect — each ending in a result a household can count.

Affordable Housing

Cap rent rises and build public homes, so you can plan your year.

Clean Energy

Cheaper power bills from public renewables, plus help to switch off gas.

Cost of Living

Free buses, trains and ferries, worth up to $2,600 a year to a weekly commuter.

Community & Care

Free public clinics for GP, mental health and dental care, close to home.

Community

Out in the neighbourhood

I listen first. My team has had more than 270 meaningful conversations at the door across Wentworthville Ward this year, and I call community meetings when residents are left out of big decisions.

Residents ask for more time on the rezoning plan

On 5 September 2026, I brought residents together to talk about the state's rezoning proposal for Westmead South. We asked the Planning Minister for a 28-day extension and weekend drop-in sessions, so everyone has a fair chance to have their say.

Door knocking

Listening on 13 streets

My team and I have had more than 270 meaningful conversations at the door this year. What people tell us shapes what I take to council, and what I will take to Parliament.
